Volunteer Experience

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Volunteered at the construction & build site. Had several duties and learned various skills through this experience. Some of my roles in this project includes:
Assisted with installation of HVAC roof top units, including reading blueprints to hang duct lines.
Assisted with construction of the foundation (digging a hole and pour concrete footings).
Trained new volunteers with construction process.

GIFT SHOP CLERK
Volunteered at gift shop of Bethesda North hospital. Had to work as a cashier and a sales clerk at the hospital gift shop. Gained various experience from basic math skills, interpersonal communication, manage time and prioritizing tasks to professional telephone etiquette.

YOUNG ENGINEERS
Worked at a program which taught kids about STEM and its applications through variety of LEGO models. I worked there as an assistant teacher who would come up with presentations each week that would incorporate some sort of engineering concept and my duties also included in helping kids with the construction of these LEGO models. I was able to improve my communication skills, confidence, and leadership skills.

IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.
Currently attend their meetings regularly and any events that are hosted.

ENGINEERING AND APPLIED SCIENCE TRIBUNAL
AUGUST 2015 - PRESENT
Represent the students of the College of Engineering & Applied Science on all relevant issues, specifically with curriculum, academic and professional standards, and university and college computing services. Also assist the students with professional, social, and leadership development.
Currently attend their meetings regularly and any events that are hosted.
